The most notable feature of the Ricoh TF500D launched in 1987 is the dual-segment focusing. Unlike other cameras that can adjust the focal length arbitrarily, it only switches between 35mm and 70mm, while the viewing window switches the viewing angle through a sliding lens.
The small LCD screen above the fuselage can display the power level, reminding you that the battery needs to be replaced. There are multiple exposures and continuous shooting functions in the camera.
