Minolta XD (XD-11 in North America) is an SLR film camera produced between 1977 and 1984. It is also the first Minolta camera with both aperture priority and shutter priority. As one of the most high-end cameras at that time, it has a high reputation for quality. Unlike the X-700, which uses a plastic body, XD is that the last SLR of Minolta used a metal body.
Equipped with a fully mechanical 1/100 second shutter, users can shoot without a battery.
Many professional photographers used XD, one of the most famous being Harry Benson, who used it for his various photography books published in the 1980s.
